An Affectionate Sign of Friendship

There are a lot of things that I don’t know about my own country, and it’s a 3 –jumps-in-the-air for every finding. Here is one of them which I found on my special trip to Kisar island, Maluku (Moluccas). While we all shake hands, hug, and even touch cheek to warmly greet each other, at Kisar they do it differently. They may shake hands and hug,  but they touch nose instead. For a second I thought they kiss lips, but I was wrong. Men do it not only to women, but also to other men, as friends and colleague. While I failed to take a picture of them in action, I made my friend Fanny (the left) and her friend show it for you. Isn’t cute?
