When I’m Staying Put in Jakarta

Last week we just shared with you about some things to do when you’re in Jakarta. I myself have a love-hate relationship with this city. I’m not really the metropolitan type of person, but long story short I am now in my 10th year stranded in this city. Having spent my previous years in smaller cities, I’ve gotten used to the Big J and have learned ways to enjoy it, although sometimes it means I just gotta avoid the things that I hate. Sometimes I overlook some details, so it’s nice to once a while stop and record some things of my daily routines in the city. Here I’m sharing some of them with you. Do you notice something odd from these pictures?

Jakarta is notoriously known for its traffic jam. But guess what. It’s not always the case. I’m grateful that I’ve been having quite a flexible office hour, so I can manage to commute at not so busy hours, take the most convenient public transport in Jakarta, which enables me to see various walks of life, and run opposite to the commuting route.

How about your daily activity? What are the things you enjoy most?
