Stumble Into Indonesia's Unseen Places
There are a lot of things you can do in Bali. Being an island getaway, with surrounding islands to support this reputation, water activities have been one of those things that people seek when traveling to Bali. Although water activities might be associated with extreme sports like diving and jet skiing, not all of them have to be for extreme players. The Equator Beach Club offers an easier level with water sports, on a day tour to Nusa Lembongan. Thanks to Tjendana Villas and the complimentary visit, I enjoyed just that.
Diving might not be for everyone, but there’s a way to get a taste of the sensation. The C-Walker is an activity where people can breathe underwater and walk the sea floor. With the fancy yet heavy helmet, you’ll be able to breathe normally and get closer to the fishes.
I have to say, it was a lot of fun. I can imagine how fun this must feel for those that have always wanted to feel the sensation of being underwater longer than the lung capacity itself. I think each person is permitted about 5-10 minutes underwater, I think I had it longer since I was the last to go. It was nice to be ‘living and breathing’ in water without the dive gear, while chasing the passing fishes. I was a kid at a playground.
Take a giant floating pillow, put three people on it, and then drag it around the sea surface at high speed. What do you get? A screaming Frisbee! The Frenzi is a lot of fun because it’s fast! All you need to do is hang on. Make sure that you do. You don’t want to be a human Frisbee, do you?
There’s not much to say about the Frenzi but to try it. It’s a great excuse to scream your lungs out. Sometimes you just need one, especially on a vacation. Didn’t think I’d need a good shout until I really did. Boy was it fun!
Snorkeling is another activity that you can do on the pontoon. Since life jackets would be available from the time you jump on the glass bottom boat, you would be able to snorkel with it. Snorkeling at the pontoon’s secured area is great for those that aren’t confident on swimming too far. On board crew will be on the lookout for your safety. I noticed this was also a great deep-sea snorkeling introduction for kids.
Jet ski are also available to try, aside to the banana boat. My recommendation would be to let the Jet Ski driver give you a speeding whirl. It’s became an awesome ride!
Each equipped activity has a specific duration of about 5-10 minutes, depending on the situation. The tour leader will help allocate time equally for each member of the group.
On Nusa Lembongan, guests will be spending time at the Equator Beach Club, whether it would be before or after the pontoon visit. The club would be where the buffet lunch is served. There is a wide selection of food and it’s possible to order the simple stuff like fried egg or instant noodles.
On the beach, there are kayaks that can be used to build up those biceps, and beanbags to relax it all out.
Day tour is best recommended for: Family trips and groups of friends! There are so many choices of activities for everyone.
An island tour is also a great option as there is much to see on Nusa Lembongan. More of the island tour on this link.
