The day has come. It’s Indonesia’s most anticipated presidential election I’ve ever known in my whole life. We couldn’t wait to voice our choices and I particularly was anxious to get behind the election booth!

We haven’t been outspoken with our choices but it doesn’t mean we didn’t care. I simply didn’t think that I knew enough to convince others to go with my choice but I encouraged people to at least vote. While Mumun felt that she needed time to gather information from both sides to confirm her choice.

But today, we’ve done our part as the good citizens. We voted!

We hope whoever wins, will lead Indonesia to be a better nation. No more corruption, illiteracy, and horizontal conflicts. And I personally hope for the harshest punishment there is for rapists! (sorry, got carried away)

We voted, and we hope Joko Widodo wins.

Finally, Indonesia has elected a leader who is not from the military or the old order! Jokowi had better watch his back. He is now a massive threat to the real power brokers in Indonesia, the military, the leaders of Islam and the old order families. His downfall has already been plotted!

Well, let’s wait for his up rising to be official first. It’s still a 50-50 chance 🙂 Stay tuned , Mikey!
